Role: UX/UI Designer | Year: 2023 | Tools: Figma, User Interviews, Focus Groups
Internal users were forced to toggle between three disconnected systems, causing inefficiencies, task confusion, and frequent prioritization errors — increasing task completion time and cognitive load.
Held focus groups and observed user workflows to identify pain points. Key findings included the need for a single view of all requests, the ability to reopen tasks, and preference for side panel navigation.
Sketched layouts and low-fidelity wireframes to test navigation and list viewing options. Incorporated progressive disclosure to prevent cognitive overload.
Built an interactive prototype in Figma. Conducted quick usability tests with stakeholders, leading to adjustments in labeling, button placement, and carousel functionality for multi-task viewing.
The final design used clean layouts, clear categorization, and a scalable side navigation structure. The carousel feature allowed users to view multiple selected requests without losing context.
Designing under time constraints reinforced the value of lean UX and modular design. With more time, I would build a full onboarding flow, design system, and conduct structured usability testing.
